Community description:For fannish types wanting to talk about weight and excercise related issues
This is a community where we'll talk about "weighty matters" - that is, issues of weight management or weight loss, exercise, wellness and the emotional, physical, motivational and time-management challenges that come up along the way.

But that's not all: we want it to be a place where we can share helpful hints, recipes, anecdotes, accomplishments big and small and even the occasional LOL-cat commentary. If you want to rail about how overweight characters are presented in media - go for it! If you've had a lousy day and just want to vent, that's fine too. We're there to help each other, commiserate, and find support in whatever weight or exercise-related situation we face.

What it's not: A place for wank - there are enough of those. A place to mock others for any reason, or to be dismissive of another's successes or challenges. But I don't expect that to be a problem - if you're a member, you're here for a reason, and hopefully it's the same reason the rest of us share.

Non-members are invited to observe and comment, with the understanding that some people may choose to lock their posts.

Every Wednesday is Anon-Weds...which means that one of the mods will post an entry and the comments will all be anonymous. If you want to talk about things that you don't feel totally confident about discussing under your own name, this is your chance.

SO COME ON DOWN AND JOIN! No door prizes...just, possibly, a place to make weight management and exercise a little easier for all of us!
